OUR MISSION

The Hayden Hewes UFO Research Center is committed to preserving, digitizing, and sharing the pioneering research and investigations of renowned UFO researcher Hayden C. Hewes, who led the International UFO Bureau in Oklahoma City from 1957 until his death in 2017. Through the generous donation of his widow, Bonnie Countiss-Hewes, the Center houses a collection of never-before-released documents from Presidents, military leaders, diplomats, astronauts, and other leading figures in UFO research. Among the notable cases investigated by Hewes are the Heaven’s Gate Cult, the Aurora, Texas crash of 1897, the Betty Andreasson affair, the 1965 UFO Flap over the Central United States, and President Jimmy Carter’s UFO sighting, which was directly reported to the International UFO Bureau.

Our archives contain rare and sensitive materials, including an unaltered loose-leaf booklet of Project Grudge with previously unseen addendums taped onto the original pages. The mission of the Hayden Hewes UFO Research Center is to make these extraordinary files accessible to the public by utilizing the latest groundbreaking technology to bring new insights to light. We aim to enrich our collective understanding of historical UFO phenomena in order to provide a strong foundation for future exploration and study.
